Hay muchas cosas que pueden contentar a un friki del software libre: que liberen el c\u00f3digo de un juego que te gusta, que a Mr Gates le estampen una tarta en la cara o que, tras hacer un apt-get dist-upgrade toda la instalaci\u00f3n de Debian siga siendo estable son ejemplos de ello.
Pero, seguramente todos los amantes del conocimiento coincidir\u00e1n conmigo, lo que m\u00e1s nos gusta es aprender, conocer c\u00f3mo est\u00e1n hechas las cosas y conseguir aplicar nuestros nuevos conocimientos a nuestra vida.
Ayer fue uno de los d\u00edas en mis 26,998 a\u00f1os de vida en los que m\u00e1s aprend\u00ed de software libre, de cultura abierta y de formas de ver la vida desde la perspectiva de grandes personas que me llevan a\u00f1os de ventaja y experiencia en \u00e9ste mundo.
Los ilustres compa\u00f1eros fueron Mr Jon \u00abMaddog\u00bb Hall<\/a>, Tony Guntharp<\/a> [damagestudios<\/a>] y su mujer Nicole, Rasmus Lerdorf<\/a>, y Marcus Hardt (que todav\u00eda no tiene p\u00e1gina en la wikipedia, pero la tendr\u00e1).
El presidente de Linux International<\/a>, que es el Pap\u00e1 Noel del Software libre nos propuso al fundador de Sourceforge<\/a>, al creador de php<\/a>, al hacker encargado de los sistemas de recepci\u00f3n, procesado y almacenamiento de datos del LHC mediante The Grid<\/a>, a Ender<\/a> y al creador de \u00e9ste est\u00fapido blog posar haciendo el ping\u00fcino con los del Oceanogr\u00e0fic<\/a>, lo cual dio lugar a la foto m\u00e1s geek en la que he salido en mi vida:

And now, I will try to translate that ( Thanks amapolas<\/a> for helping me with my mistakes ) into English so this people will be able to read what I say about them…
There are lots of things than can please a Free Software ( as in Freedom ) geek: the source code liberation of some game you like a lot, throwing a cake on Mr Gates’ face or launching an apt-get dist-upgrade and getting a full stable Debian version are examples for that.
But I’m sure all Open Knowledge geeks will agree with me, the thing that we most like is learning, knowing how stuff is made and applying our new knowledge to our lives.
Yesterday was one of the days, in my 26,998 years of life, in which I learnt most about Free Software, Open Culture and ways of life from the perspective of great people that take me years of advantage and experience in this world.
Our distinguished partners were Mr Jon \u00abMaddog\u00bb Hall<\/a>, Tony Guntharp<\/a> [ his blog is damagestudios<\/a>] and his wife Nicole, Rasmus Lerdorf<\/a>, and Marcus Hardt ( Who still doesn’t have a Wikipedia page but he will!).
The president of Linux International<\/a>, who is the Santa Claus of free software, asked the founder of Sourceforge<\/a>, the creator of php<\/a>, the hacker working at The Grid<\/a>, Ender<\/a> and myself to pose for a picture of ourselves with the penguins of the Oceanogr\u00e0fic<\/a>, whick became the geekiest and funniest photo of my life.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
